On 14 January 2025, incumbent president Joe Biden issued an Executive Order (EO) on Advancing U.S. Leadership in Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure.

Directing federal agencies, the EO seeks to speed up the development of AI infrastructure in the US, and prioritizes economic competitiveness, national security, AI safety, clean energy, and maintaining low energy prices for consumers. The order also helps to deepen the partnership between the government and industry to drive strategic AI growth at home and abroad.
