Across the US, a number of laws have been proposed at the State, Federal, and Local levels seeking to mandate safeguards for the use of AI to reduce harms and incidents. While many of these laws target the application of AI in sectors such as HR and insurance, there is increasing focus on other critical use cases, such as in healthcare.

Indeed, while healthcare is already a heavily regulated sector, AI can introduce novel risks that require novel considerations and policies. In this blog post, we outline the laws in the US that are seeking to impose requirements to promote responsible AI practices.
